STOLEN BIKE REPORT

My name is Alan Aslett and I am the Vice Chairman of Worthing Trials Club. I hope you do not mind me contacting you in this way.

On the 15/16th December my out building was broken into and mine and my sons competition trials bikes were taken. I am passing these details to you and would very much appreciate if you would kindly alert your members or anyone you feel may be able to help or at risk of being offered these bikes. My number is 07973 71 31 91. These bikes were stolen from Dormansland, Surrey RH7.

My sons bike was 1 of only 2 in the country -

Gas Gas 125 Pro racing Chassie No - T1203/M031/6181

Mine was a Montesa Repsol 4RT 2006 Limited edition. Chassie No - VTDMOT4A05E001849

I fear that we may never see these bikes again but am sending this out just in case. Thank you for your support in this matter.

FOOTNOTE TO NOVEMBER NEWSLETTER

Just a quick footnote to the newsletter:
At the last committee meeting it was decided to leave the annual membership and riding fees the same for 2012, the only thing we will raise is the day-member fee to £5 per event to encourage more people to join the club and therefore take part in our championships.

This year we have struggled to get observers at many trials and concerns have been raised as to the accuracy of the results as it is felt that observered sections create more consistant marking. Could we ask that every rider provides at least their fair share of observers and if anyone has any ideas as to how we can encourage more people to come forward please let us know. If there is not an observer at the section, please try to mark each other as this is the next fairest option. The membership form now has a section where you can indicate a month (or months) that you would prefer to observe, Jennie will then use this to help decide the observer rota.

Paul Chapman has very kindly taken on the role of trials secretary and we appreciate a sharing of the admin load. As Paul is also a rider please could you try to sign on by 10.15 to enable him to get ready to ride by 10.30. We will have a riders briefing at 10.30 at every trial, please listen out for the horn and don't ride until after the briefing!!

Some of you may be aware that it has been decided that the 2012 ACU South Eastern Centre Championship will be run under 'non-stop' rules. The definition of 'non-stop' has not yet been decided and concerns have been expressed from riders and observers. If you want to know more or to give your opinion, please ring or email Jim Connor 01483 285727 or jimconnor1045@yahoo.com. We don't see any reason to change club trials but would welcome your thoughts. We will let you know what EKTC decide about combine trials once we know.

OCTOBER CLUB TRIAL

The GEST trial for October will be on the 2nd at Colts Hill, Pembury, near Tunbridge Wells. Signposted from A228 next to Hawkwell Business Park (just NE of TN2 4AG). There will not be a trial on the 16th October.
